What’s different about your coffee club?
1. Our micro-lot coffees are sourced from some of the most celebrated family-owned farms and co-op estates in the world. We only work with sustainability-minded farmers who employ ethical business strategies. As a result, they produce some of the world's most exciting coffees that are rich, diverse, and satisfying. We don't add any flavor oils to these beans - they're grown, processed, and roasted by the best of the best - and you can tell in how they taste.
2. We roast and ship your coffee within 2 hours of roast with free priority shipping, after you place your order. Most coffee sits on grocery store shelves for weeks, if not months. Even if you buy direct from a local roaster, there isn't a guarantee that it's the freshest coffee possible since It all depends on when you walk in the door. We’ve optimized our logistics to get you the freshest possible coffee on planet earth, at a frequency that fits your lifestyle.
3. We go way beyond just delivering coffee. Every single member gets a 24/7 member concierge to take care of every single concern, a robust loyalty program that gives back in meaningful ways, and carefully curated guides, videos, content, and resources crafted to help you transform your favorite coffee ritual into an extraordinary daily experience.
What do your coffees taste like?
Most of our coffees fall somewhere around a medium roast. Roasting to this middle-ground is a great way to preserve the unique flavors that would be present in a light roast while still developing some deeper notes of a dark roast. No matter the roast level, the goal is always the same: a soothing balance and stunningly rich flavor.
We never flavor our coffees. Instead we design incredibly thoughtful roast profiles that are designed to bring out the best in every bean. As a result, our coffees are ripe with rich and balanced flavors - some quite exotic.
For example, our Columbian offering, Crimson Trail, had a sweet strawberry note, which was complimented by a floral aroma and sweet pepper finish. Soul Break, our coffee from El Salvador, has notes of praline, dried apricot, and toffee. These beauties are grown, processed, and roasted by the best of the best - and you can tell in how they taste.
Why can’t I get my favorite coffee all year round?
Coffee beans, like all agricultural products, are available seasonally. They aren't harvested year round, so there's a limited supply. On top of that, many of the farmers we work with only produce a few small micro-lots of the beans we’re interested in, so, while the coffee is delicious, there's not a ton of it.
So when we love a coffee, we buy as much of it as we can! However, even our favorite coffees don't last in our inventory forever.
This is ultimately an amazing thing! When coffees are mass-produced, they are loaded with chemicals and additives. These coffees are organically grown and as clean as they can be.
And since they're limited, we're always getting new coffees to share with you.
Every month you're with us will be a chance to explore and discover new coffees from farmers and co-ops that are revolutionizing the industry.
Like special moments in your life, these coffees will come and pass. But as they begin to fade, you can smile with the confidence that many more of these moments await you in your future.
How do you pick the farmers you partner with?
We are proud to work with some of the world's best coffee farms and estates. We picked them because they adhered to our rigorous sourcing standards that include high quality coffee beans, environmentally harmonious farming, economically sustainable business practices, and give back to their own communities in meaningful ways.
We're passionate about impacting coffee producing communities for the better, and partnering with community, sustainability, and ethically-minded farmers is the best way to do that. Each of these farmers have a story to tell, and it’s our job to empower them to create coffee that makes the world a brighter place.
