It was at a mastermind. I’d set myself the intention of connecting with some incredible humans and somehow I felt drawn to that empty seat. As we started chatting, I didn’t feel like I was having a conversation for the first time. I felt as though I already knew Danette.
It was beautiful, I was inspired, and I absolutely had to have Danette share her story right here - on the Stay Grounded podcast.
Now there’s a reason this is episode 47.
This number takes us right back to the rock bottom moment when Danette’s life transformed.
Rewind 5 years and Danette had just lost her son during childbirth, she was recently divorced, and had just $47 to her name.
This scenario would break most people, but somehow Danette found the courage to turn her ‘muck’ into opportunity and RISE into the phoenix of who she’s supposed to be in this lifetime.
You dont have to love all of it, but you get to love yourself through all of it.
In the following five years, Danette turned that $47 into an 8-figure business.
Today, Danette May is America’s leading health expert and founder of Mindful Health and The Rise movement.
She’s a world renowned motivational speaker, she’s written seven best-sellers, and she’s been all over mainstream media. She’s reached over 100 million people through her Facebook lives alone and has helped countless people transform their pain into something meaningful and beautiful.
I’m beyond excited to bring you Danette in this episode, so buckle up and get ready to go deep.
This isn’t a rags to riches episode in the financial sense. Instead, this episode is about honoring YOUR soul and its journey.
I ask Danette questions that take us down the rabbit hole to uncover tools, insights, and practices that will empower you to find the joy in it all - however painful life gets.
So get ready to listen to one of the most tapped in people I know.
Feel the vulnerability, awaken your soul, and hear a story that’s going to help you rediscover your own.
The pain is our gift.
I believe your life is a product of your relationships - whether that’s with your friends, parents, your partner, your kids, or your work colleagues. In my own life I’ve found that the better your relationships, the better your life becomes so I couldn’t wait to get an expert perspective on something we all struggle with to some degree.

In my own life I’ve found that the better your relationships, the better your life becomes so I couldn’t wait to get an expert perspective on something we all struggle with to some degree.
We’re social beings - we CRAVE connection - but it’s also an area of lives where we can find it difficult to have what we really want.
And in this episode, you’ll get some insights that will help you understand why that is.
Courage is NOT fearlessness.
Although Ken has been coaching for over 20 years, he wasn't always a relationship expert. Previously, he worked at Apple, but he found his true passion after struggling with intimate relationships himself.
Ken used to believe he had it all going against him - that he was a ‘hopeless case’. He didn’t see himself as attractive or charming. Instead, he saw himself as short, shy, and introverted - until he changed ONE thing.
And that’s just one of the topics we cover in this deep conversation..
So if you’re socially awkward, or you struggle with intimacy, or you just find connection hard, you’re going to want to tune into this episode. I promise you’ll take away some insight and some practical ideas that are going to transform the way you interact with the people in your life.
So enjoy!
I learned that the only thing that mattered in my relationships is how I felt about myself.
But that all changed in his second semester when he got diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. Used to peak fitness and endless physical energy, Frank started to experience intense stomach pains and blood in his stools - on a daily basis. Sport became painful and Frank’s social life dried up because he never wanted to be far from a toilet.
After 18 months of declining health, Frank put his trust in the doctors and agreed to have his colon removed. This involved major surgery and a length recovery process. Frank felt better for a few months, then the pain started all over again.
In this episode, Frank tells his story of finding positivity amongst this chaos.

He shares how he was able to learn from his dwindling health to take control of his life and find a way to be of service to others..
I was going to get advice from everyone and filter that through my own decision making system. But ultimately, it wasnt going to be someone else making the decision for me. It was going to be me interviewing, learning and reviewing all this information.
After traditional medicine failed to provide answers, Frank became the CEO of his own health - a decision that opened the door to an intense journey of spiritual and personal development.
Frank learned to see his physical condition through a broader lens. He realized the problem wasn’t just in his physical body - it was connected to his emotions and mindset too. He learned that overall wellness and human optimization is a combination or emotional, spiritual, and physical pillars. Neglect one of these and it create a dis-ease state in another part of your body.
It’s what makes this episode so fascinating.

Peter’s depth of insight is profound and it’s remarkable to hear him articulate the different dimensions of the psyche. It’s an episode I just know you’re going to take a ton away from.
Freedom is a great value to get you moving but ultimately what you end up building requires a shouldering of some responsibility.
Peter believes that now is the best time to be alive. Thanks to technology we have the ability to do so much. It’s one of the reasons that entrepreneurialism is such an attractive path to take through life.
Business helps you figure out your purpose and is a vehicle to uncover meaning. It drives personal development and growth too thanks to all the paradoxes you move through. So listen in…

It’s one of the reasons Majeed has such incredible insight. Through his work he gets to help all kinds of people including Olympic athletes. This breadth of knowledge and experience shines bright throughout conversation.
One topic we talk about a LOT is passion. It’s so important if you want a life that’s fulfilling.
So come listen in and discover powerful ways to infuse more passion into your life - even when you feel you’ve lost it. Majeed shares some simple strategies that you can use to transform your day-to-day reality almost instantly.
Passion is really important to me, but its an incomplete strategy to say follow your passion and everything else is going to work out.
Watch out for the powerful strategy Majeed shares around the role of pain too.
Majeed explains how “taking action is a great way to take responsibility”. One place we can act is with our emotions. I loved the conversation we had about emotions being signals and how an understanding of what those signals are trying to communicate can transform how you experience the way you feel.

Raised by immigrant parents, Adamaris was brought up with the belief that you have to work hard for everything. She was taught that no one was going to give her anything - she had to do it all herself.
So that’s what she did.

SubscribeThis episode’s guest didn’t think she’d make it to her 40s.
Raised by immigrant parents, Adamaris was brought up with the belief that you have to work hard for everything. She was taught that no one was going to give her anything - she had to do it all herself.
So that’s what she did.
As a high achiever, Adamaris committed to the grind and tackled life the ‘world’s way’. She worked her way through the education system to ace college and get a masters degree before landing a corporate job in an investment bank.
Then she worked and worked until she reached the point where her body couldn’t take it anymore.
Thanks to severe adrenal exhaustion, Adamaris’s dream fell apart. Incapable of work she had no choice, but to quit her job. Suddenly, she was $50k in debt, living at home with her parents, and so broken her body couldn’t even digest foods - only liquids.
It was an insane low that became the ‘gift’ which transformed Adamaris’s life.
Instead of feeling fear as something bad, I just shift it into WOW some change is coming. Im going to another level and getting new information.
When you’re at rock bottom, it can feel alien to surrender to the now - especially when hard work and hustle is all you know. But the truth is, we can’t do it all alone.
It’s only when you surrender that you can activate the energetic source that created everything.
As soon as Adamaris opened the door to help, she received it. This kick-started a healing and personal discovery that’s turned Adamaris into the coach and mentor she is today.
In this incredible episode (which was recorded on Adamaris’ 44th birthday!) we dive deep into key concepts that catalyse growth and self-discovery. We discuss the power of fear before getting into an in-depth discussion about the role of the ego. Listen out for this topic - it’s going to help you understand why repeating patterns show up in your life.
Adamaris’s story is typical of so many high-achievers who get seduced into the hustle. But as you’ll see, letting go is powerful too - if you want to create a life that’s extraordinary and deeply aligned with your true calling. I took a ton from this episode and I can’t wait to hear your takeaways.
Be open to the uncomfortableness.
Marc Cordon and I have similar roots. As second generation immigrants, we’ve both grown up as minorities trying to find our own version of the American dream. And it’s been one hell of a ride!
As you’ll hear in this episode, Marc wasn’t always the approachable, compassionate guy you’ll hear today. He used to be ‘an angry Asian’ - desperate to not be Filipino so he could be like everyone else and fit it. But that wasn’t Marc’s destiny. In fact, standing out became the very thing that helped him achieve the success he enjoys today.

Inspired by Michael Jackson, Marc is the coach that coaches the coaches. A positive psychology expert and the force behind Make Money Coaching Program, Marc’s mission is to empower people and have as much fun as possible.
So settle in because you’re in for a treat! Along with some incredibly honest life advice, Marc dives into his story from former Asian band, to social justice campaigner, to highly sought after coach. I took a whole ton from this conversation and I know you will too.
Growth does have pain, but it also has an ecstacy part to it.
Another thing Marc and I have in common is our obsession with using fear as a positive force.
In this episode, Marc shares some of the neuroscience and psychology that helps explains why fear shows up and how you can channel it. It’s a game-changer. As you’ll see, this all tracks back to our tribal roots.
There’s a wake up call right there… because the voice that tells you that you can’t do something stems from just a tiny bundle of cells. The rest of your incredible brain isn’t being used.
It’s why - as Marc says - positive psychology can only explain so much. The rest of it, you just gotta get out there and life your life. You’ve got to go with the ups, the downs, and the all arounds!
P.S. Make sure you listen right to the end of this episode and you’ll discover how to grab a FREE copy of Marc’s upcoming book.

Now, Darla’s life couldn’t be more different! As a coach, she hosts intimate retreats that help people fast-track their learning and get out of their own way.
So if there’s a part of you that’s not fully satisfied with the life you live right now, this episode is for you.
Like me, Darla lived her life as convention tells us to do. She did all the right things, but life still slapped her in the face. But sometimes we need to be forced backwards before we can move forward again.
So if you want to get unstuck, listen in as Darla dives deep into her own journey. Along the way, she reveals the hidden beliefs and experiences that are probably holding you back too. Many of which stretch all the way back to when you were just seven-years-old. (Listen out for our discussion around this critical age.)
We dont know how much time we have, but I was living like at some point in the future the stars will align and Ill be able to do my thing.
Darla’s passion is helping people be themselves so they can explore their own unique expression on this planet. Listen out for the reasons why Darla is so driven by this mission. When you understand the wider context of Darla’s work, you’ll see just how significant it really is.
I took so much from this conversation and I know you will too.
Whether you want to pocket a couple techniques to help you break free, get a deeper understanding of the stories that are driving your subconscious mind, or just be inspired by a ‘recovering engineer’ who now spends all her time doing what she loves, this is for you.
So settle down and treat yourself to the genius that is Darla LeDoux.
I have so little drama in my life now because I make the decisions in advance, consciously rather than letting my subconscious take over and then having to pick up the pieces.
It’s power couple Desiree and Alonto Mangandog and they’re both passionate about using essential oils, aromatherapy, and acupuncture to help people process and move through their emotions.
This episode blew my mind! When we live in our heads and we’re challenged by what Alonto referred to as ‘infobesity’, we can lose sense of the power our senses have to shake up our emotions.
]]>"When you subscribe to the Stay Grounded Podcast, you help new people discover the show. And it means the podcast will automatically show up in your app of choice every time a new episode is released on Saturdays."
SubscribeThis episode is a little bit special because I don’t have one guest, I have two!
Desiree explains how 95% of everything that goes on happens in our subconscious - it’s no wonder it can be so hard to know ourselves - so we can grow and evolve into our potential.
But as you’ll see in this episode, essential oils are a powerful tool that can unlock the door to heightened emotional awareness and maturity. That’s because the right oils used in the right situation can soften us, shift the flow of energy, and help us make sense of the way that we feel.
Aromatherapy helped me clear out the noise so I can listen to myself and follow my truth.
This episode is fascinating - and profound.
Make healing yourself a priority, and you inadvertently heal everyone around you. Maybe the most powerful things we can do as individuals is to open ourselves up so we can show up in the world from a place of abundance - instead of scarcity.
That’s what essential oils can help you do.
So if you struggle to manage and process your emotions. If you’re stuck in stories that disempower you. If you’re tied up in emotions connected to events that happened years - even decades ago - you’ll get a lot from this conversation.
Oh and we talk about coffee too :)
Coffee is a plant after all and as you’ll see it has some powerful properties that can unlock joy and influence who comes into our lives.
I had no ideas how powerful essential oils could be until I heard Desiree and Alonto share their experiences and knowledge. Now I want to know more and more and I think you’ll feel the same. So brew yourself a cup of coffee and tune in. Give me an hour and I’ll give you a whole new perspective on emotional well-being.
The negative gives you the positive. You cant have light if you dont know darkness.
What I love about Charlie is his ability to take on and succeed at things which seem humanly impossible.
]]>"When you subscribe to the Stay Grounded Podcast, you help new people discover the show. And it means the podcast will automatically show up in your app of choice every time a new episode is released on Saturdays."
SubscribeToday’s guest is one of the most exciting people I’ve ever met. Ultrarunner, Charlie Engle was the first man to run across the Sahara Desert. He’s a real life action hero too - all documented in a documentary film produced and narrated by Matt Damon (yes, you read that right!)
What I love about Charlie is his ability to take on and succeed at things which seem humanly impossible.
Charlie is right at home when he’s neck deep in struggle. In fact, struggle has defined a whole chunk of his life. From crack cocaine and alcohol addiction, to a stay in federal prison, to the extreme feats of physical endurance, Charlie is proof you can survive anything.
And that’s what we talk about in this episode. Why push yourself to the absolute limits? Why put yourself under so much pain? How do you move beyond exhaustion to achieve things most people can even imagine (wait until you hear about the next ‘crazy’ adventure Charlie’s planning!)
So brew a cup and listen to an inspiring story of hope about a man will just will NOT give up.
We spend a whole lot of time worrying about things that are out in the future and out of our control when what we should be doing is focusing on exactly whats right in front of us.
I’ve got to be honest, I seriously loved talking with Charlie. I come from a similar mindset - that struggle can be transformative and that you can grow and discover more about the person you are as a result of intense challenge.
It’s like Charlie said, anytime you purposely put yourself into a challenging situation you always learn something from it.
Often we choose the comfortable path through life (perhaps unknowingly). But I agree with Charlie. “Comfort is overrated” and “comfort as a goal is very unfulfilling.” In Charlie’s words, “I’m not on this planet to have an easy experience. I’m here to do as many things as I can.”
So if you’re curious about the mindset and philosophies of a man who’s more comfortable in struggle than out of it, you’re in for a treat. And if Charlie’s story inspires you to take on a feat of your own, I’d love to hear about it.
Continuous forward movement pretty much always wins the day. You dont have to be awesome all the time. You just have to not give up.

Discussing what it takes to build strength on this scale only scratches the surface of what we spoke about...
Look at what is good for you but in a multi level type of way. Whats good for you today, a week from now, a month from now, a year from now, a decade from now, or over the course of your lifetime. If you can have real alignment in those as far as your purpose, then youre going to basically achieve that purpose or great things.
You see, Logan has had one heck of a story!
From intense loneliness at school, to losing his mom to cancer, to being called by nature to write a book, this conversation went on twists and turns I didn’t expect.
Although Logan’s ‘home base’ is strength training, his life is far from one-dimensional. Instead, Logan’s curiosity and desire to learn and make an impact has taken him down many paths. From NLP training to an ayahuasca experience in the Amazon jungle, Logan is constantly pushing his boundaries through knowledge so he can uplevel all areas of his life.
He’s a person driven by a holistic approach to life - passionate to reconnect with nature through the power of herbs. It’s one of the many things that makes Logan so fascinating.
So buckle up and listen in. This is one incredible conversation that’s guaranteed to take you to places you didn’t expect. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

As a psychologist, Ashley loves to connect through people through their stories - and as she shares some of her own, she reveals that we’re not all that different. In fact, very often it’s our choices that separate us and not our backgrounds or life experiences.
Challenge that us v them mindset, and it’s possible to feel a connection with virtually anyone - even if your lives seem like worlds apart.

There was something about Julian! He had a vibe that made me feel good and made me want to be around him. And I wasn’t alone. I noticed how others had the same experience. When I asked Julian what was going on, he said it was because we had connected to his ‘inner god’ and that he was actively looking for the god in each person he encountered.

SubscribeI first met today’s guest in New York at an entrepreneurial event we both attended.
We didn’t have time to go into the detail of what this meant, but I was hooked and super curious. I had to know more! So I invited Julian onto the Stay Grounded podcast so we could dig deeper into this concept.
And the depth of insight this discussion unleashed blew me away - and I’m pretty sure it will be the same for you too.
By me witnessing the god in others Im calling them up to the vibrational level of their god selves.
In this episode we talk about all sorts of cool stuff - all around how you can be your best self.
What this means in practice. What inspires you to show up as your best. The simple daily practices you can engage in to really life life to the full. Julian really does hold nothing back. As you’ll hear, he gives my questions careful consideration and as a result we went to some super interesting places.
Such as a definition of meditation that everyone can connect with (even if you can’t sit still for a minute on the cushion!)
And Julian’s 3-minute, daily sex practice that’s not only created more love and connection with his wife Marla, but bleeds into everything else that he does.
And perhaps my favorite comment of all. Listen out for when Julian tells me to, “Just be Raj. You don’t have to be anything. Just be Raj.” [And of course insert your name as he says it.]
This episode left me super inspired in so many ways and it’s my hope that it will do the same for you too.
So brew yourself a coffee, pull up a chair, and get ready to indulge yourself in a beautiful dose of life wisdom - courtesy of my friend, the extraordinary Julian Colker.
The things you dont want are opportunities for growth, opportunities to learn, and opportunities to get curious.
Something had to change - so John committed to send FIVE handwritten thank you cards every day for one year. The Mr Thank You Project was born.

SubscribeAs the owner of a gifting company, today’s guest felt his was living out of alignment. Gifting involves expressing your love and appreciation to the people you care about, yet John didn’t feel this value featured highly enough in his life.
Something had to change - so John committed to send FIVE handwritten thank you cards every day for one year. The Mr Thank You Project was born.
But what started as a challenge quickly morphed into an incredible journey of self-expression, personal growth, and deepening relationships.
When you think about thank you cards, you traditionally imagine obligatory notes sent after receiving a gift. But John knew those letters would get dry and boring pretty soon! So he decided to write cards that truly appreciated someone for who they are and what they’d done for him. It was a decision that forced John to be vulnerable and put his heart on the line, but the results - as you’ll see in this episode - were life-changing.
I became hyper aware of my emotional state everyday because if you have to sit down and write someone a thank you card you cant be in a lame, negative, upset attitude. Well you can, but its not going to be very good card.
In this episode John reveals the nitty gritty about what happened during his one-year Mr Thank You project.
He tells some incredible stories of compassion, appreciation, and love for the most unlikely people who changed his life as he touched theirs.
I promise, John will transform the way you look at thank you cards. This episode exposes their true power not only to transform your relationships, but also influence the core of who you are and how you show up in the world.
Fair warning! Don’t be surprised if you get an urge to rush to the nearest store after this episode to buy a pack of cards. There’s something about John’s story that compels you to want to start writing notes of your own :)
And that is John’s mission. Through the Mr Thank You Project, John is determined to elevate the level of gratitude in the world by 1% by inspiring people to write 74 million thank you letters.
So grab your cup and get ready for a masterclass as I hand you over to the inspirational, Mr Thank You himself - John ‘Izzy’ Israel.
Curiosity is the birthplace of appreciation and appreciation is the start point of empathy. When we have empathy, we can develop compassion and when we have compassion we can literally connect with anybody.

But part of the human condition is the ability to transform tragedy and heartache into something beautiful. It’s how her husband’s death became one of the pivotal points that enabled Sheevan to become - in my words - “the Queen of Flow”.
I was so pumped to talk with Sheevaun, this conversation made me so happy! I learned some incredibly profound things too. But that’s what happens when you sit down to talk about life with a business advisor, master coach, and energetic thought leader. In fact, Sheevaun has helped over 25,000 entrepreneurs, CEO's and leaders tap into their soul’s unique formula - so they can show up in the way that’s right for them.
And in this episode, she shares some incredible wisdom and insight that will inspire you to challenge your understanding of how the world works (so you can make life work for you too).
Nearly all our communication is energetic before we say a word.
My conversation with Sheevaun gets pretty deep as we dig into the tangible as well as the intangible. We talk about everything from inner reflection, to microscopic living, to the importance of cleaning up your ‘hot mess’!
It’s an episode that left me feeling inspired and empowered.
It’s true. There may be a lot of negativity floating around in the world right now, but that doesn’t mean we’re powerless to do anything. In fact, Sheevaun reveals some very practical steps we can take to feel better about our own lives and make our mark on the world.
So tune in and discover some of life’s secrets and how flow can help you create success, fulfillment, and happiness in your life.
I love that the human condition can take a really negative thing and transform it into something really amazing and beautiful if we allow it. Its really the greatest hope we have.

It’s why topics such as concentration, presence, and curiosity feature strongly - because they are keys that can unlock life.
We end up choosing work that unknowingly we are trying to heal something from our past we are trying to be whole.
As well as business and personal development, Jon also talks at length and his kids.
Currently aged, 8, 6, and 4 Jon describes how parenthood can be polarizing and how his children teach him so much. If you’re a parent too, I think you’ll love the down-to-earth conversation we have about the challenges of juggling work and home.

Jon is on a mission to show people how to live life in the front row - and his tool of choice is moment making.
It’s a mindset I totally buy into. I used to focus on the grind. I used to constantly chase the next promotion or the next big goal because I believed that’s what would make me feel successful.
But I soon discovered this mindset puts you in a game you’ll never win. That’s because life isn’t a journey. Instead, it’s a series of here and now moments.
And my guest today reveals how to grasp that profound insight and use it to create the life you want.

This episode’s guest believes so. If success is the result of habits practiced consistently, commit to the right actions for 5 minutes a day and you can see massive results.
Karen Briscoe honed these skills in her hugely successful real estate business, but it was an epiphany moment that inspired her to consolidate her practices into a formula that other people could follow.
After having the idea to write a book, Karen realized she needed to adopt new rituals to help her push through the doubt, fear, and questioning that can hold us back from doing the things we love.
So she grabbed the opportunity one October day when the clocks went back to get up an hour earlier - and she did this every day to give herself the time to write.
I think people sometimes think its the big things that are what makes life meaningful, but many times its the daily rituals and relationships where true meaning comes from.
This episode is chock-full of practical ideas and strategies that will help you leverage habits to achieve the things you want.
We also talk about the role of inspiration and why you must act fast - before the opportunity is passed to someone else.
This conversation was so helpful and enriching. They say that success leaves clues and Karen leaves so many on this episode. So if you’ve been struggling to get things to work in your life, take a listen to Karen. Everyone can do something for five minutes a day that will propel them forward, right?
And in this episode, you’ll get clarity on the steps you could take to achieve your own 5 minute success.
If youre reaching for what your highest and best potential is that is an ongoing striving I dont think theres an arriving. The striving is part of the thriving.

Our lives are basically just a series of decisions that we make every day some conscious and some unconscious.
Dana is proof that parenthood doesn’t need to change your personal ambitions for life, work, and yourself.
Instead, as you’ll discover in this week’s podcast, life-changing situations can in fact inspire the life-changing decisions that push you in the direction you truly desire.
In this episode, Dana gets up close and personal. Discussing everything from the drunken night that changed everything to the reason why shaving her legs is a daily non-negotiable.

His DICE (Daily Inspiring Community Events) Project took him across America and overseas and gave him a unique insight into people and communities from all walks of life.
It’s totally fascinating and something we discuss at length in this episode.
Community events are the social fabric of America. If we can have more community events we can have more real world, face to face conversation with people shaking hands, then that is what is going to truly impact our nation. That is what is going to evolve our democracy.
Frost believes that while we’re more connected than ever, we’re more isolated and alone than ever.
What’s more, the information silos we live in is leading to more polarisation as people don’t get to interact with perspectives and ideas that don’t align with their own beliefs.
He wanted to push back against this trend and get stuck into real-life conversations with real people doing good in their communities.
This experienced shaped and influenced Frost and he reveals all in this fascinating interview.

Shannon and Bryan co-founded Belay Solutions seven years ago. It’s a virtual company that offers self-motivated people the chance to create work (and life) on their terms. Shannon is an amazing role model and an inspiring leader. Working alongside Bryan, she’s built an incredible company, raised two beautiful kids, and has mastered her schedule so she can live life on her terms.
And in this podcast episode we dig into the thinking, mindset shifts, and decisions that enabled her to do that.

SubscribeThe surname Miles may be familiar, and because Shannon’s husband, Bryan was my guest in episode 11.

The Third Option is about doing your work, but also allowing you to prioritize your family and your personal life in a way that you cant in a traditional office environment.
In this episode Shannon shares how her own life and upbringing became the triggers that inspired her to ‘never settle’. She also reveals the backstory behind Belay and how an accidental, part-time gig at a job she loved became the entire foundation for the company she now runs with Bryan.
I loved chatting with Shannon. I love her passion for service and her commitment to inspire others to create a life that works for them - because she knows it’s possible.
So if you’re feeling frustrated that work has resulted in far too many compromises for you, listen into Shannon’s episode and discover more about an option that many people don’t realize exist, but one which could be perfect for you.

Austin is the CEO and founder of Entrecloud - a forward-thinking WordPress hosting company that helps amplify entrepreneur’s voices online. Austin is also a deep-thinker, a philosopher and an action-taker. Since I first met him he’s achieved so much and keeps raising the bar higher.
So when I saw him in San Diego earlier this month at a mastermind meetup, I couldn’t wait to pull out the mic, hit record, and get stuck into a deep, thought-provoking conversation about life, happiness, fear, and everything in between.
"Happiness doesn’t exist outside of you. It’s not a place elsewhere or in the future. If you aren’t present or content in the moment, you will always be chasing the dragons that you’ll never reach."
If you want to create a happier life, you have to take responsibility for creating a happier life.
Happiness is a mindset and a choice. It’s an emotion that’s inherently human, and also one that you can cultivate and design - if you have strategies to do that.
In this week’s episode, Austin and I explore the philosophy of happiness, the importance of men being able to process their emotions, and the awesome power of fear and how you can use it to get what you want.
We also talk about cheat codes, taking massive action, and how your higher self is always drawing you closer to the live you want to live.
This conversation took place over a glass of wine in the beautiful Californian sun and the more we talked, the more the ideas and insights flowed.
Austin inspired me and I’m confident he’ll inspire you too. Discover what we have to say on some of life’s most important topics in this week’s podcast.
"You can’t find something if you don’t know what you’re looking for… You’ve got to know what you want and then really clearly define what you want. That’s the first step to making it real."
